Michael MacInnes is an American undergraduate/accelerated graduate student at Chapman University in Orange, California, visited the Alan Paton Centre from 8-12 July 2019. Michael is doing research on political and ethnic violence in KwaZulu-Natal in the 1980s through 1990s. His research takes special focus on Inkatha/Inkatha Freedom Party, propaganda produced by Inkatha during this same period of time, and trying to understand how members are convinced to commit acts of violence.
